How Banners and WebViews Work
TrendAura is designed as a luxury curation app that features deal carousels, lists, and direct affiliate/shopping links to platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and more.
When you click on a banner, deal, or category:
- The app opens the selected link in a secure internal WebView or redirects you to your pre-installed shopping application (such as Flipkart or Amazon).
- Any browsing, shopping, transactions, logins, or cookie storage inside those WebViews or external apps are governed entirely by the privacy policies and terms of those third-party merchants (e.g., Amazon's or Flipkart's privacy policies).
- TrendAura does not have access to your payment details, credentials, or order histories on those third-party platforms.
Third-Party Services & Cookies
Since the app uses standard Android WebView components to load web content from external shopping portals:
- Standard web technologies, such as Cookies and DOM Storage, are enabled to allow these websites to load correctly, keep you logged in to those stores, and manage your cart.
- These cookies are handled locally by your device's Android System WebView and are not sent to us or accessible by TrendAura.
Data Security
We implement modern security practices within our codebase, ensuring all connections to our partner feeds and external sites are encrypted over HTTPS.
